PW had their annual theatre tour this past Saturday, 8/27 – WOW! It was AWESOME! Thanks, PW – you did a great job of organizing all the details. Here’s a photograph of the front lobby at the State Theatre, it was built in 1925 by C. Howard Crane for Francis Palms and operated as a Kunsky Theatre. Palms was a real estate broker who made his fortune in the 1800’s in Detroit. I suspect a connection with the Palms Building, on Jefferson, built in 1903 by George D. Mason and Albert Kahn… more photos to come from the tour.
